Masquerade Mask Project
Name of Assignment: Masquerade Mask Project
Subject: Humanity's Facilitator/Teacher: Ken Goring Description of Work/Assignment: We where assigned to make a masquerade mask, cause we have been reading Romeo and Juliet Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? Self directional skills, the whole project I had to independently point myself into different directions art and work wise. What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? The mask's metaphors. Of course we have the basic ones like the sugar skull or raven standing for me and my ancestors but more specific ones like the 3 largest feathers standing for my family pets How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? This fundamentally helped me when it came to laying down more foundation for my self directional skills. Since this was something I had to research my ancestry for What was most difficult about completing this task? The fact the base of the mask was plastic brought many, many problems with attempting to add feathers. So I had attached the felt on the mask and poked holes in it. Stuck the feathers in and glued them there How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different? If i could improve it I would do a full face mask, and would have probably focused more on my ancestral side How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? I've done a lot of arts and crafts in my life so this relates heavily to it. How can you apply this to future learning? More arts an crafts masks and stuff! Further in my life I'm definitely still going to be doing stuff like this |
